Craft beer in Sejong!

When the previous teachers told us about a craft brew place that just opened near the apartment, I knew we had made the right choice in picking Sejong ☺

It is called Craft Bros and it is about a 10-15 minute walk from our apartment. There is another location in Seoul. Craft Bros just opened last month and it takes up the entire 10th floor of the building. It is beautiful inside, with lots of lights and different kinds of seating and space.

When you first exit the elevator you are greeted by this cool sign

Sam and I were greeted by a guy with an earpiece who spoke English well. He showed us around a little and asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. Yeah, this was a rooftop tap house. We opted for outside because it was a great temp. He asked us if we wanted a blanket for if it got cold. What place ever offers you blankets??

One of the inside portions of the tap house

The outside portion had grass and stepping stones and some trees as well. Behind my right shoulder there is a room where there is more indoor seating. You can also see a small button on the table which was a "Call" button which would notify our waitress on her apple-watch-type device.

A waitress came over to offer us some menus. They have quite a selection of beer, seven of which are brewed by Craft Bros.

Page one of beers. Page two had mostly imports like Sculpin and were pricier

They also had a food menu which ranged from sausage and delicatessen plates (typical bar food), to truffle fries and salads and cheese crisps. The prices were a little steeper than some other restaurants we have been to, but Koreans are all about shareable plates and so we figured the portions might be bigger to compensate for the prices.

Sam decided on the Craft Bros: Brat 3 Double IPA, and I went with the Gorilla Raspberry Wheat because it sounded amazing and refreshing and they didn't have any sours...

My Gorilla Raspberry Wheat. At first I thought it might be a nitro beer because of the cloudiness but it never cleared up. It just had this crazy, cloudy color. And it tasted like a strawberry smoothie ♥

Sam's Craft Bros Brat Double IPA. Sam liked it and I thought it was really good. It had a citrus taste to it.

We decided to go for the truffle fries and teriyaki chicken. Turns out to be a realllllly good choice ☺

Truffle fries ₩9,000
Sauces were mayo and a spicy ketchup

Teriyaki chicken ₩16,000

The crispy rice flakes on top were coated in a reallyy spicy powder. The chicken itself was dark meat, juicy, and marinated well. You may notice some lighter pieces in there, they are deep-fried Ttok (or Tteok, from Tteok Boki), basically like a solid rice noodle. They are a little chewy like mozzarella texture. SO GOOD.

Thanks for reading ☺

We will be returning to try the rest of their beers and menu!
